‘Monstera Adonsonii Propagation’ is a limited edition hand printed linocut artwork. Propagation refers to the process of taking cuttings from a plant and encouraging them to develop roots in order to grow a new plant. Monstera Adonsonii is from the family of plants often named ‘Swiss Cheese Plants’. So called because of the holes in their leaves. This family seems to forget to grow whole leaves and instead create beautiful and unusual foliage. This image is part of a collection of propagation images created due to my fascination with the process.

This print has been created with hand mixed water based relief ink printed onto Somerset Satin 100% cotton, acid free 250gsm paper. This paper has a beautiful buttery soft finish and a deckle edge. The dimensions of the print are 15cm x 10cm.

Each image is hand printed at home and is therefore completely original. The charm of this technique is the individuality that it produces in texture and colour and will always be limited to a small print run.
